The St. Mark’s Stitchers serve both Outreach and Pastoral Care. The stitchers create unique comfort shawls that reflect the love and creativity of the maker as a sign of our care for members of our community and for our friends during illness, mourning or difficult times.

We also provide each of our graduating high school seniors with a blanket to remind them of the support we have for them as they venture into adulthood.

We send hand-made wool hats and scarves to the Seafarers’ Mission in Baltimore at Christmas, apart from the Christmas Boxes mission. Please see one of us about the requirements for Seafarers’ items.

The group gathers most Saturdays from about 10:00 to noon in the Fellowship Hall for camaraderie and stitching. We welcome anyone who would like to join us. We teach knitting and crochet, and can provide materials. (Of course, you certainly don’t have to attend to donate shawls, blankets, or hats!)
